Magic of Spell is one of the WPFS's favorite film. We've watched it a million times and without subtitles so we had no idea what was going on. But now, luck has us all because we have found a copy with subtitles. At last we can find out why that giant peach comes out of the well.

The future tells us that a Dog shall lead men to their Mates

We'd better get our acts together. We'd better start on those stem cells. The future doesn't look too good for dating and mating. In
" A Boy and his Dog" , we find out in the future that man's best friend will be his best resource for finding a mate. Set in the year 2024, canines have mutated some and have a telepathic connection with males. The rest of the world has gone underground and that is where all the females are. The above ground folk will have to just fight among themselves for sexual satisfaction and food. Based on a novella by Harlan Ellison. It stars Don Johnson and Jason Robards.

A look to the future through the eyes of the past

Radioactive Dreams is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi vision written if one were stuck in the 1980's that is part comedy and part musical. It centers around two characters who had been locked up in a bomb shelter for almost 15 years. With limited education, they climb out into a world gone wrong. A world gone wrong if we were still stuck in the 80's. Faced with Dizzy Dames and Disco Mutants, they go in search of their father, who had abandoned them for some strange reason. Somehow they get caught smack dab in the middle of who owns the key that will control Earth.

Mistress of the Apes is not a porno movie. Soft porn maybe, but no.it's just a crazy and wild film. A woman searches for her husband in the jungle and through a series of event gets sidetracked by her bestial lust. There are plenty of awkward moments along with some strange musical interludes. This is a must-be-seen-to-be-believed item.

A Lost Piece of D.C. Cinenema

I love seeing old films that center around D.C. I also love finding films that have been forgotten. Top of the Heap is one of a kind film. It's not Blaxploitation so it hardly ever made it on the list of Black Films. The plot is simple. A cop is stressed out with his duties as a cop. He finds doom and misery on a daily basis so he creates his own world. A world where he could be and do anything. An astronaut for one. The astronaut sequences were filmed on the Mall and on the very spot of the now Air and Space Museum. Paula Kelly also stars and she is excellent. Of course the film will have some Washingtonians saying, " Hey, there are no palm trees or huge drainage ditches in D.C.!"
